Center for Information Technology and Computer Networking
Center information technology and computer networks was created 05.01.2009 on the Institute of Economics and International Relations of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
Centre created for the development, implementation and operation of the Institute of information, telecommunication systems and technologies, and for coordinating, conducting in this area departments of the Institute, providing technological support for these developments, their standardization and bring to the industrial look.
The Centre's mission is to implement and operate modern computer technology in all areas of the Institute. Therefore, in accordance with this, the center charged with the following main tasks:
- implementation of the general university policy on development and application of computer technology;
- support the learning process all forms of education and research Institute of computer and software and information resources;
- development projects, programs and plans for development of information computer technology for the establishment and effective functioning of information technology infrastructure;
- provide quality representation of the Institute, its departments and activities in the information space;
- promote the Institute experience in the use of modern information and telecommunication technologies at the scientific-research and design and project work due to budgetary and extrabudgetary funds
Functions of the Centre are to provide technical training process in the computer classes of the Institute, distance and distance learning, logistics, operation and maintenance of software administrative and management departments of the Institute, ensuring efficient and safe access for faculty, staff and students of the Institute of all forms of education to Internet resources, development, support and maintenance of websites of the Institute; administration of computer networks of the Institute; drafting perspective and current applications of computer information technology at the Institute, the development and harmonization of technical requirements and technical specifications for information systems and software created and used in the Institute; examination of its software development and external organizations to decide on the possibility of mass of the Institute, developing standards and guidelines that organization for the operation of local networks of the Institute, and control over their observance; at trends in information computer technologies to their implementation at the Institute, teaching at teaching and other staff of the Institute of methods using computer technology through seminars and specialized training courses at the Institute of promotion of experience in the use of modern information and telecommunication technologies through participation and seminars, workshops, conferences at providing services in the development and implementation of advanced information and telecommunication technologies mean and higher education institutions, agencies, businesses and organizations at their request, at carrying out research in accordance with the plan.
